Sharing my new bundle of Joy!!

Well, Project 'Mini Me' (as my college students suggested when I announced my pregnancy) is complete, and he's dreaming of ways to get 1 million dollars!! Andrew Parker Swan arrived on Tuesday March 13th at 10:22am after a relatively short labor. He was 8 pounds even and nearly 20 inches long. He has dark blue eyes and brown hair... isn't he handsome!

We are home and doing well. There are lots of adjustments to make as new parents and we are working on them... My mom and I went to meet Dan for dinner last night -- it was the first time I left home with Andrew, so we carefully packed the diaper bag, installed the car seat base, strapped Andrew into the seat and managed to get Bailey (our one-year-old cock-a-poo) into her kennel . (I'm beginning to undersatnd why parents run late). When we arrived at Qdoba for dinner, I asked Mom where the diaper bag was-- she said "I thought you had it"-- I thought she had it... Ooops. Andrew was very excited to get home after our errends and get a clean diaper! (I'm still learning and will be for a while I think ;)

The First Post

Such pressure to think up something witty. I'm not feeling it today. But I welcome whoever would like to come and post on the NE District DCE blog. I hope that this resource will help us to build one another up, share resources, joys and failures. We can also use this site to share upcoming events.
